RAT TERRIER RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS
Keep in mind that anything you rescue may well not be a purebred, so no history and no health tests. That being said, all of these dogs deserve a second chance, so if you are willing to take on the unknown, they may be the best choice for you.
If you are interested in a rescued Rat Terrier, but the one that you are interested in is a distance away, there are several possibilities of bringing the dog to you. Talk to the rescue organization as well as look on FB for dog rides and online for people that help rescued dogs find their new homes across the country.
Also, check your local shelters frequently. Sadly, they do end up in the shelter at times. Although I have found that most of the rescues are the small sizes, occasionally a standard or Decker may show up.
