Sammie is a light chocolate female Rat Terrier pup with white legs, full collar, and tan markings. She’s a little lighter weight, only about 8.6 oz at 2 days old.
UPDATE: April 22, 2013 – 2 weeks old
Sammie is gaining ground on her siblings. While still the smallest, she’s up to 1.4 lb from her 8.6 oz when weighed at 2 days old. She’s the one so far with the most ‘tude. Will be interesting to see how she matures. She is also handled at least once a day by me. I cradle her on my arm and rub her little belly, chest and toes. She’s a bit grumpy about it so far. Will continue to spend time with her and let her know she’s a special little girl with extra hugs and kisses!

UPDATE – MAY 2013 – 4 weeks old
Sammie is quite the pup. Frequently the first to come out and greet you. Still the smallest pup, so I’m thinking she may only be a small standard when she matures. Really liked to play with the bunny. Was a bit wiggly when I rolled her onto her back.
UPDATE – JUNE 21, 2013
Ok, it’s been awhile since I’ve updated the pups. Sammie will probably be staying here, as I believe she has the perfect temperament and drive. Although I prefer a bigger dog, she more than makes up for it in personality. Time will tell. I’m looking forward to working with her over the next year.
