SOLD to the Fischer family in CO
Gus is a big, piebald chocolate male Rat Terrier pup with tan markings. He weighed about 10 oz when he was born, and is now at 11 oz. I’m thinking he may be larger when he matures, possibly 16″ – 17″. This is my husband’s favorite one.

UPDATE: April 22, 2013 – 2 weeks old
Gus is quite the stout little guy. He feels like he has a bit more substance than the other pups. He hasn’t gained as much, only weighing 1.9 lbs, but he feels solid. He’s my husband’s favorite dog. He is also getting once daily attention from me, getting held on his back on my arm, and getting his little toes rubbed. And of course, lots of hugs and kisses!
He has a personal video.
UPDATE MAY 5, 2013 – 4 weeks old
Gus is still the largest pup. He’s little legs are well-boned, and I still believe he’ll reach 16″ – 17″ tall. Great temperament so far. As with all the pups, I rolled him on his back, and he didn’t seem to object.
UPDATE: MAY 19, 2013 – 6 WEEKS OLD
Gus is doing very well. He’s still the largest in the litter, and appears to have more bone than some of the other pups. He’s got a great personality, is usually one of the first ones to greet us and loves to play with the ‘big boys.’
UPDATE: JUNE 25, 2013 – 11 WEEKS OLD
Gus is growing like a weed. Still has great bone, and size. He’s the sturdiest of the remaining pups, and out weighs them by a good bit. My husband has been taking him out on his four-wheeler sometimes when he goes to irrigate, and I’ve been taking the whole pack with me out into our fields. As with the other pups, I’m working on very basic obedience and encouraging them to come when they’re called. I also play with them individually as often as I can.
