Turkeys

I have been taking the dogs out in the back gully since irrigation is done, and every day I see hawks and an eagle. I am trying to get in the habit of bringing my camera along, and happened to get lucky on this day, as I had my camera with me when the crew scared up a small flock of wild turkeys. In all the years that I have been walking this gully and the surrounding area, I have never seen any turkeys. So it was a pleasant and interesting surprise for my crew to flush them out of the grass and into the trees. The dogs were practically beside themselves with excitement, but of course the turkeys stayed high up in the trees so they weren’t able to catch any. Their wingspan made them almost awkward in the trees, but they stayed where they were until after we finally left. Enjoy the photos!

  2. Hi Patrick! Yes, all of the kids are here. I would honestly be lost without them. It would kill me to part with any of them. No new ones. Not ready to add to my pack just yet. Maybe in the spring.

So glad to hear that you still have Geeta. Glad she is working out for you!
